Zodiac Symbols

For some people, the idea of astrology may seem laughable—but even the most devoted nonbelievers can appreciate the uniquely cool, elegant symbolism that accompanies each sign of the zodiac.

When you think of "zodiac symbols," you probably think of horoscopes, but the 12 signs of the zodiac are also used to describe personality traits. Each sign is recognized by a symbol, and those symbols are used to identify the signs in horoscopes. If you want to know what your sign is and how it affects your personality, you need only look at the symbol that represents your sign.

According to astrology, the constellation of stars above us has a lot to say about who we are and how we can live our lives in a way that's more fulfilling. The ancient Greeks divided the night sky into twelve sections, each corresponding to one of their gods (though, of course, they didn't know it was stars—they just observed that certain constellations appeared at certain times of year). These constellations became known as the zodiac signs and their symbols have many meanings.
